The following schedules are for on-campus Orientation for students beginning in summer or fall 2023 terms.

Orientation dates for students beginning in the spring 2024 semester will be available in late fall 2023. Students beginning at UWRF in fall 2024 will sign up for Orientation in spring 2023. Please check back for updates.

Coming to campus for Orientation? Here's the need to know info!

Check In will take place at the University Center, 501 Wild Rose Ave., River Falls, WI 54022. Use the blinds below (click the plus sign) to find your check in time!
Parking during Orientation is free and you don't need a permit.
- Please park in Pay Lot 1 (PAY1) at 410 S. 3rd St.
- If you need physical accommodations, please park in Pay Lot 2 (PAY2) at 501 Wild Rose Ave. PAY2 is only for those with physical accommodations.
Bring the following items:
- If you've taken college courses and haven't already sent us your official college transcript, please bring your unofficial college transcript. Your advisers will need to see this during registration to place you in the correct classes.
- A government-issued ID.
Remember to complete all the items on the Before Orientation Checklist before you arrive to campus!

First Year Student Orientation Schedule

This schedule is for incoming first-year students who signed up to attend the full Orientation from 8 a.m,-3 p.m.

8:45-9:15 a.m.	OL Breakout Session #1	University Center, 2nd Floor, Riverview Ballroom
9:15-10 a.m.	Falcon101	University Center, 2nd Floor, Riverview Ballroom	The most essential things to know about your future community - how you’ll make connections, transition socially and academically and be successful in your first few weeks on campus. We’ll introduce you to campus traditions, talk about all the upcoming events you’re invited to and help you explore future involvement opportunities.
10-10:30 a.m.	The Inside Scoop on UWRF	University Center, 2nd Floor, Riverview Ballroom	Who are you? Who are we? How will you fit into the community at UWRF? We’ll explore the answers to these questions, discuss our community of care, our code of conduct, the levels of support you have at UWRF and more.
10:30-11 a.m.	A Day in the Life of a Falcon	University Center, 2nd Floor, Riverview Ballroom	Come prepared with questions for current UWRF students. They'll talk about what a typical student day looks like and give you the opportunity to ask anything you’re wondering about.
11-11:45 a.m.	Lunch	University Center, 1st Floor, Riverside Commons	Learn about meal plans and how to dine on campus while enjoying lunch.
11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.	Meet with an Adviser	University Center, Various	This time is reserved for you to meet an adviser and talk about your major, minor, prior credits and more so you’re prepared for the next session - registering for your first semester of classes.
12:30-2:30 p.m.	Class Registration and Campus Resource Session Rotations	University Center, Various	While you're waiting for your turn to register for classes, learn more about campus resources like Title IX and Violence Prevention, holistic wellness, Residence Life and Financial Aid and Student Billing. We'll keep you on track so you can get the information you need from these resources and still have plenty of time to register.
2:30-3 p.m.	OL Breakout Session #2	University Center, 2nd Floor, Riverview Ballroom
3-4 p.m.	Resource Fair	University Center, Ground Floor, Pete's Creek	Explore resources at UWRF and be sure to get any questions you have about campus answered! If you haven't completed the below steps, make sure to do so before leaving campus: Prior to September 1, sign a housing and dining contract or submit an exemption request Submit your ID photo online Sign up for direct deposit at the Student Billing table Purchase a parking permit

Transfer Student Orientation Schedule

This schedule is for incoming transfer students who signed up to attend the full Orientation.

We’ll introduce you to campus traditions, talk about all the upcoming events you’re invited to and help you explore future involvement opportunities.
10:30-11 a.m.	The Inside Scoop on UWRF	University Center, 3rd Floor, Kinnickinnic Theatre	What does the community at UWRF look like and how will you fit into it? Learn about UWRF’s code of conduct, values and identities, as well as the layers of support on campus for all students.
11-11:45 a.m.	Lunch	University Center, 1st Floor, Riverside Commons	Learn about meal plans and how to dine on campus while enjoying lunch.
11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.	Meet with an Adviser	University Center, Various	This time is reserved for you to meet an adviser and talk about your major, minor, prior credits and more so you’re prepared for the next session - registering for your first semester of classes.

Express Orientation Schedule

This schedule is for incoming first-year and transfer students age 25 or older or who have 60 or more incoming credits.
